This is the Bluetooth device I was waiting for. The Naviplay seems sort of redundant, like taking the long way around. This, however, seems like the best way to go.
Question is, how is the reception when not pointing at the base station? I know it isn't infa red or anything, but wondering if there was still some difference in sound quality.
Or does that matter at all when it comes to bluetooth?

Also, why was the rating a B+? It performed as advertised (distance) and never claimed to be portable. To me that seems unfair. Also, I don't believe iLounge should make a lower rating when it states that a unit cannot work with the Nano. As much as the Nano is a very cool device, it really is a other animal. It doesn't even sport the tiny jack that is present on the full sized iPod or discontinued iPod Mini. Again, seems unfair.

I have been having some trouble with this device.

I pre-ordered and received the Tunestage in the first shipment. The first few times I used it all was well. Now the past couple times I've noticed problems with the audio quality. The high end has become horrible--distorted, thin, "tinny"...it makes it sound like I'm listening to my iPod though blown speakers in a '72 Buick Regal station wagon. Most of my music is at 256 or better and I've made sure that this is the problem--listening to speakers with same music on cd, directly connecting iPod to receiver, dis- and then re-connecting cables, dis- and then re-connecting transmitter, and so on.

It's a shame as, otherwise, it suits my needs exactly. I called Belkin and they haven't heard of this issue before (and issued an RMA), so hopefully this is an isolated problem. It certainly makes the Tunestage unusable for me.

Does anyone have any idea when the Tunestage II is coming out? it has been a year since the 5G's release, and it seems like it would be easy to switch out the color, connector, and bluetooth module.
