You know, as many construction job sites I've been on, I don't thing I've EVER encountered one of these buff "power" boom boxes, whether from Bosch, Dewalt, Milwaukee or whoever makes these monsters supposedly earmarked for the construction trades.
I seem 'em down at the Home Depot all the time, but never in use by those that I would assume would be the target audience. Most of the radios I see are the cheap, smaller portable stereo types you'd find down at Wal*Mart or Target; the workers generally have enough gear and tools to carry without lugging a behemoth like this around. And considering how these guys are often bouncing all around a site, who the hell has time to worry about a #!#@&*%%*! $300 radio, let alone an equally $$##@!%%! costly iPod?
Definitely for the weekend home improvement wannabee who's trying to make up for, um...certain...um, deficiencies.

Just an FYI for anyone reading this as of Sept 2007, the boxes can be found on Amazon.com reconditioned for $135. Not a bad deal.
A friend of mine who has his own business uses one onsite and absolutely loves it.
