It lasts for a long time though. This might be good on long plane rides...but $50? I don't know about it

Could you use a 20gb iPod with an iSkin case in the 40gb clip?

I love how there are people eager to kvetch about every item ever featured.
I have the iPod Battery ii, and that was worth the $100 I paid for it.
Had this been available at the time, I would have bought this instead. The amount of time obtained from AAs is insane.
And it's not just useful for ong plane rides, but even on short flights or on vacations. It's one less thing to have to bring along and risk losing someplace. Last year, I brought along my car charger and my wall charger for one extended trip that involved flights and long road trips.
But now the battery gives me the ability of listening to books and music while waiting, in the plane, in the hotel,in the car, etc etc etc, without ever having to ration my listening for fear that the battery will go dead before I get home, and without worrying that I'll forget the charger in the car or in the hotel.
Is this product worth $50? Darn tootin' it is!

I sent an email to BTI regarding this battery (is compatible w/the iPod photo, can it be used w/rechargeable AA batteries, and when will it be available for purchase). BTI responded back that it only works w/the 30 & 40GB iPod photo, not the 60GB, it can use rechargeable AA batteries, and it won't be available for purchase until July...can't understand why it won't work w/the 60GB photo...that sucks.

Could someone post where they successfully bought one of these? I've check around and it's not straightforward. The "where to buy" button on the BTI site is no help. Tx.

To RedRanger: I called BTI with the same exact question (as well as for the B02) and they said no. If anyone has tried this and succeeded with a B02, please respond?

Will this work with the new 5G iPods? I would think it would. Thanks

I was having problems with my iPod holding a charge and when I took it to Apple it was going to cost about half the price of just buying a new iPod. My friend told me about this website called
http://www.laptopsforless.com and it was great. I got a new iPod battery and now my iPod works like it did out of the box. I would recommend the site if your iPod battery is failing.
