Why not make a radio designed like the iTrip if that's possible? That would be perfect..

it all has to start from one spot to give inventors like me ideas and improvement. It is a good attempt but does fall short of my expectations. I do carry a cheap FM/AM transistor to catch my met games, but have been wanting apple to step up the ipod to have this included, so good luck third party but my 10 dollar radio works just fine and I can't wait for apple to stop forcing the apple music store download and allow people the freedom of the airwaves.

As far as aesthetics go, it looks more like a medical tool - maybe for checking cholesterol, insulin, or heart rate - but not an FM receiver. Blech.

I agree with frank the tank...this is a failure, but a decent try...just looks ugly and is way too large...if anyone can make an acceptable fm radio for the iPod it's Griffin...but I gotta say I do wish my iTrip didn't accept so much interference at times...and even though Apple's already found and fixed the problem for newer releases of the 60 gig iPod Photo (but of course I have the previously sold 60g Photo, so unless they can fix the problem on previously released models with a software fix, then I may be SOL) :(

ICs for radio reception are so small now, I really don't get why this design ever made it out of BTI Marketing. No reason why this device--complete with an LCD, buttons for tuning, etc., couldn't have fit into an iTrip style product.

i totaly acree with WarCow. i've been looking for an item like this for a while. i mean i love my ipod, but it doesn't give you new releases of songs like how a radio does. so every once in a while i've give my ol' 30 gb a rest and listen to the trusty radio for new songs. but again about they product, too bad it was poorly made, only a few talk show stations work. / = a little bit sceptical about that. but if they improve this thing, by giving it more radio channels, and a s sleaker design just like how WarCow said. "designed like the iTrip" then that would be perfect and i'd totaly buy that sucka. pretty ok prototype. well sorta, but a little more work and i think these devices will be spot on.

Fly J GUy.....I have the same problem so this is how I solve it....
I go to R & R chart and I look at the charts for genres I am interested in and then I listen to the sample in iTunes and if I like it I get it.....

This product is horrible. Bought it about a week ago and the reception is totally awfull. Get static all the time when I'm walking on certain stations. Would not recommend it at all. The transmitter is probably ok. Wish I could take it back bec I just wasted £55.
