Apple was kind enough to offer buyers of iPhone cases a 2 week window to purchase a case to go with their phone and return if they didn't like the case. I didn't care for the 2 cases I tried out, but I found this one online and it is awesome. It secures my phone, it won't fall out of the case, and it's not too bulky.

I purchased the case-mate signature leather case for my iphone a week ago and I think it is great but with one flaw. It does come with a detachable clip to wear on your belt. However, the face of the iphone is facing out while clipped to your belt, screaming to be bumped into something.I usually just keep the phone in my pocket, but wearing dress pants I like to clip it to my belt.
The case-mate signature holster seems that it will work with the signature case for the iphone and places the face towards you for better protection while clipped to your belt.
I think it is too bad that I need to drop an additional $25 for the holster after spending $35 for the case and $600 for the iphone itself.
However, it will ultimately be the best way to protect my phone while I am at work.

i bought the case-mate leather case/holster combo after trying and tossing the in-case holster. the case-mate looks and feels really nice....even better to me than the naked iPhone (which seems to easy to drop). I like the holster mechanism - BUT...the leather encased iPhone slips in and out of the holster so easily that it offers no resistance to a pick-pocket or even bending over. It needs a strap across the top with velcro, or something similar.

The ratings are Reversed in my opinion.
Casemate model WITHOUT holster should be rated C- and Casemate model INCLUDING holster should be rated at least B+. For the simple reason that without the holster, there's No protection of iPhone face while it's clipped to your belt. Ever look at your old flip-top mobile phone and wonder where and when all those scratches & scraps happened to the cover? Given high cost of iPhone, I believe protecting the face is critical when it's not being used(and a thin plastic film isn't enough). Also, I've returned 2 other iPhone cases because they either didn't offer iPhone face protection; belt clip didn't grip tight enough or belt clip didn't have ratchet feature. The holster model has all of those features. It's a winner!
