Be careful; I have a 2-year old 20g iPod, and whenever it is plugged into the iRecharge the screen freezes. Oddly, it will still respond to the touch wheel and play music in this state, but the screen never changes or updates. I have tried 2 different iRecharges, and another identical iPod, same results. Repeated calls to the factory have never been returned.
VERY UNHAPPY USER :(

Works OK for me, with a 60gB iPod Photo.
It passes through the power from the external charger when it's connected.
It even smooths out the power from a Car charger stopping an annoying squeal which corresponds to the engine speed.
