That's one of my biggest complaints too. Firstly, this case did scratch my iPod a little bit on the sides, but nothing really to worry about. But I was dissappointed at even the slight bulk the iSee adds to the back of my 5GB iPod (because the case is made to suit 5, 10, and 20 GB). But the case is overall good.

Don't buy this case, it WILL scratch up your LCD

The Contour I just bought was shipped with a little thin plastic - almost like a cellophane cigarette wrapper - sleeve that you put on your iPod before putting it into the case. It covers the LCD screen and the scroll wheel, with an open top and a slot for the dock. This is, so far, a good solution. It feels strong enough to withstand handling, and my iPod is scratchless. I've had my iPod in a case from the very first moment and I am madly careful with it. No scratches on the Contour case yet, either, but if it does get scratched, that's what it's there for. Better it than my iPod.

I forgot to add - that Contour does offer a way to purchase the extra thin cellophane-like sleeves, too.
