I just purchased the New Home Dock Deluxe. How disappointing this thing is!!! Where to start... First, the remote is no better than the previous model. You need to be in direct line of sight in order for it to work. When you do get it to work, you need to be patient because there is a 1-2 second lag time. So at this point you are already frustrated at the thing. Oh it gets better. I am sure a lot of you out there are looking for a dock that displays album art. That is the only reason I bought this particular product. And that is where you are going to be disappointed the most. After you figure out which screen saver you want and the interval times at which you want it to come on at, you will discover that the album art displayed is extremely small. Furthermore, after you get used to the tiny album art, it times out after 60 seconds (to prevent burn in on plasma tv's)and the tv goes black. So all that hype about having your album art displayed is all marketing ploy to push these products because of the failure of the previous model. Don't fall for it like I did. Save your money.
To top it off, the manual that came with the product does not match up with the actual product functions. If you have one already you know what I am talking about. For example, on page 17 the manual states that there are 5 different types of screen savers, NOW PLAYING, ALBUM ART (which is not available on the unit), Status Bar, Blank, and Visualizers. Also, the book states that you can set the screen saver timing intervals to "Come on all the time or never" True you can set it to never come on but there is not an option to set it at all the time. Therefore, you can not set it stay on all the time. Sweet, let's spend $150 on a product that states you can display album art all the time while playing your music. Oh wait, what the meant to say was enjoy the tiny hard to see album art for only 60 seconds and enjoy the blank black tv screen for the remainder of the song until the next song comes on. And then enjoy another 60 seconds.
I am returning this product on Monday. I want as many people to read this as possible. I don't want you guys to get your hopes up for this product that does not deliver what it claims it does. Most importantly, I don't want anyone to waste $150 on this worthless piece of crap.
I also left a message for their tech support the day I got it. They have yet to return my phone call 4 days later. DLO if you see this, you should fire your marketing director and your R&D;director. They are going to costs you 100's of thousands of dollars in sales and lawsuits. How about pulling your head out of the sand and actually listen to your customers and produce a product that will make you the front runner in iPod accessories that you are trying to be.
For starters:
1. Use an RF remote not a IR remote
2. Deliver what you claim to deliver, stop screwing over your customers!!!

I am now on my 3rd one in a week and am getting ready to return for the last time. Video is glithcy but the most important part of an iPod completly blows.
First purchase the sound didn't work for my TV or Stereo, exchanged for new one, sound worked on TV but not Stereo, echaged yet again, back to first problem no sound on TV or Stereo. Tried it on all three TV in my house and two stereo systems with the same results.
Save your money and avoid the hassel on this piece of garbage.

I have been using this product for a couple of weeks now, and I agree that this product is dissapointing. Its not a bad product, though, it's just not as nice as I thought it would be. The menus work well for me, and the sound quality is excellent. The remote must be right in line with the dock for it to work, and the menus lag. The album art is small and seems to play a minor role, and it doesn't let you keep the Now Playing screensaver displayed, it goes black after a minute. I know it's to prevent burn-in but I have a LCD television so that's not a problem for me. Other than these grievences, the product does work pretty well for me, i just wish it was cheaper
