After reading about the Music
Remote I went out and bought one.
It delivers as promised. The OLED
Display is clean, and the navigation
is simple to understand. I didn't want some
big remote that was 2 or 3 times larger then
the iPod itself. The Music Remote is small
and compact. It's perfect if you're a
audiophile like me who looks for well thought out audio products. I test the range it is over 140 feet.. This is very strong for a unit this size and price range.
As a Engineer I'd recommend it to anyone with a pod!

Dude, try plugging in the earphone jack side in more to the dock first. I got one of those like that with the buzzing noise too, then later I found out it was the connector in the back of the dock being a bit tight and wasn't fully in. I ended up plug it in more and worked well from there on... hope that helps.
