It's a USB extension cable.
I picked up a gold-connector USB 2.0 extension cable set with adapters for various USB devices for $15.00 and it handles not only my Shuffle, but my PSP, my external hard drive, and anything else I need to connect temporarily.
Seriously- The Shuffle doesn't need a dock or dock cable. Save your money and buy a nice USB extension cable and a couple velcro dots to keep it on your desktop or at the side of your desk.
