Well, at least one can play around with the imaging and soundstage a bit. As for the harmonics and SQ, I guess I have to listen to them first but if they're like the A-Ls as the review states I'd likely ignore the things myself. Certainly not as clean and tidy as the docked solutions available; score one for the A-Ls (I can't believe I just said that, as foul-sounding I think those things are).

They look nice anyway smile

What I'd like to see is micro-speakers that clip on top (or bottom) of the iPod and run off the iPod battery. MacAlly has a little tube that looks like a slightly-larger iTrip and has a speaker firing out each end. Cool--but it needs its own battery. I know that's good for some, but I'd rather use the iPod's own battery, which already lasts far longer than I need. (Or maybe the MacAlly CAN work that way too?)

I know microspeakers won't sound good. But I want them in my pocket for the same reason people listen to music on tiny radios sometimes. A little background music in the room without headphones or something big to carry. Quality isn't always my first concern.

Yeah, why can't someone come up with a 1" speaker that plugs into the top of the iPod? It could be mono, since you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Well MacAlly has side-firing stereo, which sounds good in a way. But there's also the Griffin iTalk which has a Mic AND a (very small!) mono speaker.

What would be cool is a top-mounted side-firing stereo design that had fold-out panels to create a bit larger sound chamber and get more from the speakers yet still being TINY for pocket portability.

I want to get these for my husband for a Xmas gift, but Audiocube only accepts Paypal, which will be difficult for me to keep hidden from him as none of my friends seem to have or are willing to open up a paypal account. So, any word on other places to order or should I just go with the A L InMotion speakers?

i was pretty happy with these speakers for about 4 months, and then my AC power adapter died. audiocubes.com refuses to help, and i can't find a replacement adapter that will work because the specs are strange.

if i can ever find an adapter that outputs 11vDC 1000mA (anyone???) then i'll probably be happy again.

i mean, granted, they're not *fantastic*, but they sound pretty good for the size.
