Maybe I'm the only one here but I don't think that the control scheme is all that bad. Granted it took me all of 10-15 minutes to get used to playing it that way (I'm used to buttons, been a console gamer all my life) but after I had things down I felt pretty comfortable with how it was all done.

I think the controls are great and make perfect sense, given the layout of the iPod. Clicking left and right to move pieces left and right, and then rotating to get pieces into position, would suck at high speeds because the click wheel isn't as responsive to clicks as it is to rotational movement. I actually do better at iPod 'tris than I do in most clones, precisely because the left to right movement is so natural and precise.
