My Amplifi arrived yesterday, and so far, my first impressions are very positive. I like the simplicity, and do not care that it has no dock connectors, etc. The sound is certainly impressive considering I only paid $114 from Amamzon. I only wish they would've supported Apple Universal Dock Connectors.

I just got my Amplifi in the mail and I'm loving it. First of all, it sounds super. And it looks even better in real life than in pics. I listen to lots of classical music, in addition to rock, etc. and it does a great job bringing out the bass and treble. I love it!! The sound is super clear and it can go really loud. Waiting for my free Amazon.com delivery was the longest 12 days of my existence.

Dissapointed with the Amplfi. There's a constant chirping and low frequency hum when the unit is switched on. Also the volume control is very imprecise. You can feel the clicks when you turn the knob but it takes three or four clicks before the volume changes up and only one or two clicks to return it to the same volume. I wanted to use this in my office near my desk but for phone converstions the minimum volume is still too loud. I'm finding that I have to switch the Amplifi off.
