Hello all, ilounge you have helped me so much, I wanted to share this help ticket I just submitted to iFill.
Hello,
A few moths ago (January), I got my first ipod. with it, I bought ifill. I loved it, but ifill kept recognizing it as a shuffle. I was annoyed, but could live with the three streams. Then it started getting skipping songs, and the songs it downloaded were increasingly chopped up. I thought it was my internet connection. Then my ipod died. The firmware was unrecognized, and my computer could not recognize it to update it. It passed all the hard drive tests, but it would not start or sync. Even after using the HP utility. I bought it new but through ebay so it had no warranty. It was ruined after two months of use.
Anyway, I bought a new ipod which I love (this time with a warranty), and started using ifill again. It worked fine at first but after I used it only once it recognized it as a shuffle. Then, I updated the firmware, and it worked again. After only 1 time using it, it was recognized as a shuffle. I repeated this four times, and decided once again to live with the station limit. Yesterday, my ipod started skipping through songs (it is two weeks old) and even skipping songs that are not from ifill. I restored the firmware, and it works fine. I have iFill version 1.14 for windows (the most recent.
YOUR SOFTWARE SEEMS TO CORRUPT THE IPOD FIRMWARE.
I think I would like a refund if you can not fix this problem. I have read on-line of others who have had this issue as well.

Just an update. Griffen still has not replied to my posts. It is now September. I am instead using Station Ripper. It is wonderful. The downside is that it does not integrate with the iPod as seamlessly. It also does not seem to be as legal because you are downloading the music to your computer rather than keeping it in your iPod. However, I am not sharing it online so I don't see the issue. But, that is a small price to pay for not ruining your expensive machinery.

The music isn't less legal if it's downloaded to the hard drive, it's just one less step you'd have to take to make and distribute copies, and the designers of iFill don't want to be accused of making it too easy for us to distribute copyrighted music.
