My last comment was about the iTrip II... I love it. Like others, I think that the only downside to it is that you can't use the hold switch while the iTrip is mounted. Excellent range, reception, aesthetics: only $35. Awesome product. Bar none.

I'm hoping that I haven't just wasted $39 by purchasing the wrong model of the ITrip. I purchased the version that is suited for the original IPod (firewire on top) when I should have purchased the version for the 3rd generation 10G Ipod (firewire on bottom). I can't get the ITrip to turn on when I insert it into the earphone jack (at a 90 angle to make allowance for the plastic extrusion. Am I SOL?

Hey just got my itrip 2. It is been all good awesome quality. The revies i have been reading have told me that you all live in big towns with lots of radio stations. Before i bought the itrip I sat in my car and went through the stations, this is the best way to make sure you aren't spending lots of money on nothing.

I had the iTrip for one week. In my local area it was just ok. I returned it with the impression that all fm transmitters are mediocre at best. Luckily, I read people's opinion on the iCarplay and bought it today. If fm transmitters are all you can relie on for ipod-car play, then this is the ONLY one you should look at. I've tried iTrip, Belkin, and one not worth mentioning - cough iRock ahem. Seriously, give iCarPlay a try before you give up.

I tried the iTrip and promptly returned it. I thought it'd look real slick on top of the iPod. It did. I just couldn't get a good signal. I'm in Los Angeles and same with Nina who's near the same area, I couldn't get anything. I had an iRock which worked fine, but couldn't make it look decent in my car. I ended up buying a Monster iSport Case in tandem with the Monster iCarplay Wireless. This was tiny enough that I could keep it in my car and not have it stolen. Best of all, it works great.

My itrip was working fine until my roommate borrowed it for her ipod and now it isn't working. The iTrip stations are no longer on my ipod. I can't re-intall them through my computer because it is too old and I'm far from my home computer. Is there any way to reinstall itrip stations (or just 87.9) without a computer?

Hey UK folks I ordered my I trip yesterday from everythingipod.co.uk yesterday and it turned up this morning (25 quid + Vat +P&P). It worked fine this afternoon but on Saturday night there are no free channels on Fm (including 87. and 87.7) in west London (cause of the pirates) works well in the Mini when you can geta clear Frequency.

I'm considering an ITrip but have a few hang-ups, it doesn't fit with the case I want (Pac Rim IShield) and the programming process sounds complicated. If I go on short drives, and say, shut it off to run in a store, do I have to run the ITrip playlist, pause it, then play my songs, every time I start the car up? I'm sorry, I don't quite understand this item yet. Any help is greatly appreciated.
