Wow, this is a total ripoff of the Sony PSP remote control. Forgot to include that in the review, eh?

I don't understand how the Nano version looks OK while the version that differs only by a slightly longer headphone cable looks "laughably bad"? Please explain.
There is no arguing that the connection is awkward, but until Apple puts a volume adjusted signal on the dock connector, the only way to make this more elegant is to integrate a headphone amp and use the line out (hmmm...sounds like a hacking opportunity).
Having said that, the point of having such a remote is being able to keep the iPod safely in its' case (where nobody can see the "laughably bad" remote adapter) while being able to pause and adjust the volume.
i.e. who cares how the cables look ? no one will see anything but the remote part anyway.
I personally don't care if this is a ripoff of the PSP remote. Is that relevant?
