These are pretty awesome speakers and I couldn't be happier with them. I bought them originally as computer speakers though as opposed to most people who probably use them for their iPods. Just for the record though iCliff, these do work with computers obviously as I use it myself. The wire coming out directly from the subwoofer is a regular 3.5mm audio cable that you would normally plug into your computer. Included in the box also is a wire that splits the 3.5mm connection to two audio coaxial connections. One for each channel. Using that splitter you can get another coaxial cable to connect those to your TV and you can have your TV or DVD audio coming out from the Creatures. I'm sorry if you don't understand what I just said, my audio terminology isn't very good haha. They're pretty awesome speakers though! I hope you enjoy them.

You MUST experience the sound of this miniature speaker system to grasp the depth and musicality of its effects! It will hook up not only to your mp3 player, but also to a CD player or computer system. When I first saw pictures of the Creature, I thought it looked rather unattractive. However, when it's laid out from left to right with the subwoofer in the middle, it's a stunning piece of equipment and the sound radiates and amazes with clarity and resonance. Although the review makes it look like it's specifically made for the IPod, it's really not. It has a standard audio plug which connects to any CD player, computer or mp3 device. Of course the speakers are powered and can't run off batteries. But they wouldn't sound as good if they didn't use lots of juice! Of course these speakers aren't super portable or battery operated, but if you are looking for superb sound and beautiful design features, go for it. The sonics are rich, sweet and tonally mellow. An audophiliacs dream come true for a mini speaker system.

I have not found a better sound so far! To say these speakers ROCK, is an understatement, they will just simply BLOW you away... run, don't walk and Get it...

At first I was hoping for an upgrade for my Logitech MM50 to buy the more expensive Logitech AudioStation though I am happy with the MM50 as my office speakers. Then I read Jeremy's review and tonnes of users' positive remarks on the JBL Creature II.
Now I made the choice and bought the JBL Creature II hours ago from a computer store at $100US.
Right out of the box, this speakers sound surprisingly pleasant to me with great details in the high, mid and low. Of course, the tweak on the treble and bass is a bonus to me.
This is really an awesome product from JBL in such an afforable price yet capable of producing an appealing tune way better than many more expensive products I have listened. The sound quality is really good to both audiophiles and ordinary users.
Indeed, the performance is getting better after two hours warm-up.
Thanks to Jeremy.
