I just received my Slyder case today and I am very pleased with it so far. I don't have any great demands for my iPod, such as docking stations or the like. I just wanted something that protected the unit from the usual daily abuse and that I could just slip in my pocket. I also wanted something that echoed the 2nd Gen nano's style and didn't add a lot of bulk. So far the unit has met all my expectations. An unexpected feature is that it just about eliminates the need for the hold button. Because the slider completely covers and protects the wheel there is no need to use the hold button to prevent accidental changes. The only annoyance I have found so far is sometimes when the slider is moved down to access the wheel, the nano will slide down a little inside the case. This requires the unit being pushed up to align it back in the case to use the wheel. Not a big issue and it doesn't happen much, but an issue none the less.

It's great that a company would make that. But I know there are some cases like these out there. Me, I really don't want a case that I'm going to have to slide a thing down just to change my song. That really defeats the purpose of having a case. But I do thank them for their effort on making a case that has already been out from a different case.

I, unfortunately, have not had a positive experience with this case. I too received mine in early January and within days the slide-down door lost its friction/closure and started to open all the time with gravity when clipped to me, or in my purse, etc. Then, the case never hugged the Nano securely. As mentioned above in another comment, the Nano slides down in the case when the slider door is opened; mine always slid completely down, giving access to the screen, not the click wheel. More than an annoyance, this was untolerable. The "worst case" happened when the case slipped open, the Nano slid down with the door, and my iPod tumbled to the (thankfully padded) floor of my health club, unharmed. With this, I contacted Marware and they promptly and very professionally replaced the case. The replacement arrived and I experienced the same Nano "slide down" design flaw. I contacted Marware, returned both cases, and they are in the process of refunding my money. I too was intrigued by the design/functionality but unforunately it just doesn't work. Marware was very professional and easy to work with; I will use their products again, just not this particular case. I have since switched to a very nice (well made, elegant) Noreve flip case recommended here by iLounge.
