I had one of the 3g models and liked it quiet a lot except for the adhesive nub for the belt clip. I would prefer if they also released one that was fixed on. Mine ended up falling off and since then I've returned to other cases.

I had the 3g iPod Armor and it saved my iPod from a few falls. The one draw back I had is the top plastice part ended up scratching my iPod. I was not very happy about that.
I wish they would just come out with a case made for the new iPods so it wouldnt have the big holes on top.

These things are strong! I have the original version for my 2nd Gen iPod and it's taken a lot of hits while snowboarding. One time it did get bent where the top was more V-shaped than the original design, but they replaced it without any problems. The fall (going over a 40' long jump) also broke my hip in three places, so I'd say the case tough enough for most falls or drops.

I agree that this is a good product if you have a remote and don't care for a belt clip.
There are two very big problems with this case, though. Getting my 4G 40gb iPod out is almost impossible. One of my nails has become loose (serious!) and it takes me about 5 minutes of wrestling (pulling en pushing left and right) before it comes out.
I've done this about 5 times now and, as someone else has mentioned, the top platic lock is seriously scrathing the metal iPod top. I would not have expected this from a $ 49 product.
So, put your iPod in once and leave it there!

Concerning removing the Ipod from the case... Have you thought about laying a piece of ribbon under the Ipod across the middle with 1 or 2 inches left long... place the ribbon in the case, place the ipod on top of the ribbon and the lay the ribbon across the ipod before you close everything up. Kind of like the ribbons run under batteries to help getting them out. Just a suggestion

The first time I put my 4G 40GB iPod in this thing, I had to unscrew and remove the top plastic part of the case so I could push the iPod from the back. I tried the ribbon King Ding a Ling suggested, but you have to use so much force to pull it out, that sometimes the iPod pops out too violently, and you risk dropping it or scratching it with the metal edges of the case. So, unless you plan to leave the iPod inside the case all the time, don't buy this thing.

I've just got one of these mothers too. The build is as stated of excellent quality but I did want to point out a few slight flaws which do detract somewhat from an otherwise perfect design.
1-The case doesn't fit all that tight when closed properly. Perhaps it may just be mine, but there is a noticeable gap around the front cover which will more than likely not keep out dust and dirt. Which I what I chose this over other designs for really.
2-What the hell is the space for the hold button for? Once that lid closes there is no need for the hold button anymore and so this really just adds more scratcable expossed areas.
3-I would really like to have seen the bottom port cover on some kind of fitted rubber hinge rather than be completely removable and thus loseable one.
4-As has already been mentioned, the ipod is almost impossible to remove once it has been placed inside the case. This wasn't an issue in the above review, but it should have been in my opinion as I do have to remove it from time to time for car mounting etc.
5-This is also actually quite difficult to open and requires a certain technique more tricky than it should have been.
But that aside, this is a great example of functionality over beauty which once handled gives you the confidence that it will protect your expensive investment inside. Now if they could just produce one with a soft wheel cap and a visible screen....
