can the docking cradle be removed (so one would then use the line-in jack instead) to make it more portable?

i get the impression this sounds better than the JBL OnTour or OnStage, while being just about as portable, so if the cradle could be removed, i might well prefer it to either of the JBL units.

i just receive mine, it sounds great not at level of the jbl creatures 2, but good enough to take it around the house and outside.
I think you can remove the cradle but not completely.

One more thing (jeje), this speaker don't use the volume from the ipod then if you put the volume of the ipod in 0 you'll have ¡¡more than 4 hours of playing video continuous¡¡ nice very nice
