This appears to be a nicely designed case. I have always questioned the UV resistance of the plastic cases (no matter what color) and this one is no exception since it seems to be more for the outdoors. In the gym, an iPod shuffle is the way to workout.

This case looks great. I was looking for a waterproof case that lets you have access to the click wheel and screen, and it looks like this one will do. Even if it's only water resistant.

I bought one of these for my iPod Photo 60 GB and returned it. It will NOT work with Shure E2C or Etymotic Research ER6i headphones unless you use the Apple remote. The E2C will jsut plainnot work. The ER6i's are put under some stress when the case is closed which worried me that the headphone jack could be damaged. When I had mine I noticed a minor amount of stress even when using the Apple ear buds. Good idea but I would give it B-. I wanted something to protect my iPod WELL and this had too many drawbacks for me. I did not NEED water resistance, it was just nice to have. I have since switched to the Contour Design Showcase, which I love. I have to admit that the OtterBox folks did work with me and suggested the remote solutions. My return was also painless, they were very nice and easy to deal with.

Your results will vary depending on the type of headphones you use. Apple's own solutions are easiest, as are most of the replacement headphones typical users would buy.
We tried the case with the oversized plugs used with Etymotic's ER-4P, for example, and though the cord needed to wind around once inside the top of the case, they did fit and the case did close.
We also love the Contour Showcase, however, these are different products for different purposes.

and Jeremy, No I do not work for them, nor am I receiving any compensation whatsoever for this recommendation... I wish that I were, but alas I am not.

I like my oPod - at least it beats the pants off the 'shield' I first tried from Pacific Rim Technologies. The membrane over the click wheel works flawlessly. The membrane over the screen sometimes sticks to the iPod screen, producing a slightly distorted image, but a little distortion with your protection is better than a scratched screen.
Getting the headphone cord into the slot can be a pain if you keep taking the iPod out of the case to charge it, dock it, or play powered speakers with the iPod. There is a gap around the headphone cord opening that would let water in, but the oPod is good enough to keep my U2 iPod safe from rain, splashes, bumps, bruises, scratches, etc.
The case seems relatively bullet-proof if not completely water-proof.
I've used it skiing and commuting and can't wait to try it kayaking and biking.

I just received my oPod via a friend, and I can already tell that it`s the perfect solution for a very electronics-dangerous country (Bolivia), protecting it from Carnaval water balloons and all the dusty roads.
However, I`ve had a similar headphone problem with my 60gb photo--only apple headphones seem to fit. I won`t return it, but I am a bit disappointed that I now have to buy a control to boot; turning a 60$ purchase into a 100$ one.
