I purchased the silicone skin from Pods Plus, and I haven't had any negative experience with the case ripping/tearing. I've used it for about 3-4 weeks, and it has held up very well. I don't intentionally pull on it, but it gets tossed around quite a bit. The skin has a nice snug fit on the shuffle, and does a great job protecting it from the elements. I was actually going to purchase a few different colors!

That's because yr iPod shuffle may has a chance to has scratches on its surface if u are those, like me, who likes to change the silicone skin of the iPod shuffle. Actually, i used to change everytime, it's because i wan my iPod shuffle to look difference in colors.
