Originally announced back in 2009, Quirky’s Beamer Case for iPhone 3G/3GS ($38) seems a little long in the tooth at this point, but enables users of the now-discontinued iPhone 3G and still active iPhone 3GS to add an LED flash to the back of their devices.
Pressing a button on the side of the soft touch rubber case activates a bright white light for four seconds, providing temporary illumination under lighting conditions that would otherwise be unfavorable for exposing photos.
A battery compartment inside hides a replaceable watch-style lithium disc battery, and though the slide-off bottom piece could have used a little bit of additional tweaking to ensure a perfect fit, the case does come together properly on an iPhone, and looks pretty good.
