For me the beauty of this thing is its size. The cable which comes with the 3G iPod is a bit long for my needs and cumbersome to carry around. I use my PocketDock with a Zip-Linq retractable cable, which together take up a fraction of the room the original cable does.

I was wondering if the plug is too big to fit into the port cover of the MArWare SportSuit Convertible??

The plug is fractionally wider than the one on the original dock cable. I have a Waterfield SuperDooper case, and I do have to pull back the bottom of it to insert the PocketDock.

Are there any plans for the PocketDock to be released in stores (PC World, Dixons-etc) or availiable to buy online in the UK?
The SendStation Homepage ships to the UK but requires a credit card for payment and shipment is about 1/2 the original price of the PocketDock.

Dreaming of a PocketDock with an audio line-out to the left or right side of the unit

It's not needed if you have the Griffin auto charger and a 3G iPod.

No, but you might need it for other things.

has that been tested to see if it would work with a USB plug?

the pocketdock is rubbish,
doesnt have a clip in thing like the apple cables come with, so it usually comes out of my ipod during charging.
It should also have a line out to actually be worthy of calling itself 'pocket dock'. If it did it would be a worthwile product. But as it is, spend a tiny bit more and get the apple cable, cos it looks a lot nicer and is works better.

leonthepro, my PocketDock has a "clip in thing" and remains securely fixed. Maybe yours is defective?

NJ,
I've seen this in the Apple Store (if there's one near you)

I couldn't agree more, and I'm surprised noone else mentions this. I'm going to try the Sik din cable and see if it stays in the dock connector any better.
