I plugged my low-battery iPod into this and found it will also charge your iPod, so if you're just looking for a way to recharge without having an outlet handy, this will work for a couple of recharges at least, and you won't have to use the iPod with this thing attached, as it does double the size. But even using the iPod with the Volta isn't bad, and I look forward to putting it through its paces on a cross country flight in the near future.

I purchased this unit prior to an overseas trip so I would have plenty of power for the 14 hour flight. Battery worked as advertised...was able to watch 3 movies and had plenty of battery left for music. Unit is compact and travels easily.
