I saw it in the apple store here in brisbane, thought it was a bit big for everyday use (which is what I was looking for in a case at that time). It does look very solid though. If I find myself carrying my iPod around in my bag alot I might look into getting one (atm it lives in my pocket).
woo! go Australia!

I just received a cocoon for my 40GB iPod, and it is incredible. It came with everything needed to protect and carry my iPod in my pack with out any worries of scratching my shinny little friend. These guys though of everthing, the design is brilliant . When hanging from the lanyard, I can easily zip open the cocoon and my iPod controls are facing the right direction to easily crank up my favorite songs. The cocoon is making a great new home for my iPod

Wow... great case!
Congrats to STM for being the first, after all this time, to make a sleek, sexy, functional, well-made *travel case* for the iPod!!

Good to see an Aussie manufacturer make something so good. And it's in all our shops, instead of having to order from the US

I live in Chicago and have been looking for the ideal ipod case - and I think this may be it.
Are these STM Cases sold in the US? If not, they SHOULD BE! I'm going to order one for myself and purchase others as gifts for friends who too have been on the quest for the best ipod case.

Any word on whether STM will come out with a baby cocoon for the mini?
Looks like a brilliant case.

Never fear! These STM Cocoons along with all of STM's other bags are available internationally at http://www.rushfaster.com . And shipping is quite affordable.
Take a look they've got some really great photos of STM products!! These things rock! Go STM!

Checked out Rushfaster.com and they have some great pics of the cocoon. I've just ordered one off them, they said they'll ship it right away - can't wait to get it!

i bought an STM case because i loved the look of it...it was sleek and simple. ive dropped my mobile phone that many times, that i didnt want to wreck my ipod in the same way.
love the cocoon.

Here's a coupon for those that can't wait for the case to be sold in the U.S. and want to order it from Rushfaster.com. Type the word 'infront' in the coupon box. It will knock 15% off the total before shipping. With the coupon my total was approximately $38 w/ shipping.

For anyone in Sydney who is looking for one of these great cases, I finally tracked them down at the Next Byte store on the corner of Erskine and Clarence St. All the other stockists had them either on backorder, or just looked at me blankly and said "what's an ipod?"

hey .... i'm really interested in buying this case for my ipod - i've got the 3G 40GB ipod. For those of you that have this case .. can you let me know how the screen protection by the soft cover is ?? Does it completely prevent scratches or its just a *good enough* protection ? Thanks

Hey Mushkaks. The skin covers the screen totally however it does expose the corners a bit. This is not a huge problem for me, the majority is protected and its not like I treat my ipod that bad anyway. The main thing is the screen is protected, of course, when it's in the cocoon... everything is protected!! I bought mine from Australia and they're giving away smartwraps with them also which makes them even better value. :-D
