I really don't understand the complaints about the horizontal orientation, especially with regard to video playback. Are you going to watch videos while it is attached to your belt? Obviously at most you put it on your belt while playing music, and there the sideways orientation isn't a big deal. It's not going to take long to get use to where play/pause and skip are in this orientation. For menu use you're going to want to take it off your belt, again whether horizontal or vertical. In fact I find horizontal orientation to be more comfortable and to get in the way less than vertical. This aspect of the case is thus appealing to me. Also I'm glad to see it has access to the dock connector when in the case - the pictures on their web page didn't make this clear. However, I don't like the use of velcro - it ought to use a snap closure. I hate the velcro sound and velcro will end up capturing bits of lint and other junk that will render the thing less attractive. The velcro might sway me away from getting this case.

Different people with different uses of the iPod will have different opinions on mounting. Our opinion for a belt-mounted video player is that there should always be the option to look down and see the video or menus on a proper angle.
