Hmmm, the various versions of iPod skins are really popular. Where I am about half the pods I see are wrapped in those clingy rubber cases. So when will someone make a case (not to mention a set of nifty speakers) that take this into consideration?

Looks nice a nice stand for someone that uses a PodWave speaker.

[Update] They have a new version that is fully adjustable, and will accept the mini and iPods in skins. It's $40 though.

Jeremy, the black rubberized hole in the stand is most likely for two purposes: (1) to house the FireWire/USB 2.0 cable, and (2) to resemble the newest iMac G5 stand, which houses the power cable.

In regards to the "Large Rubber Ring" this an anti-pull thru design for the cable.
"Take back control of your desktop. Your FireWire and or USB cable will no longer be loose and sliding off your desktop when disconnected from your iPod, thanks to anti-pull thru grommet design." as listed on the web site.
FYI the color and texture for Gloss Bright White, is just that in with matching the Gloss White iPod.

I love iPods, I love what they can do, I love the simple elegance of an iPod, I love that they are made by apple, but I don't see purchasing an alter for your iPod. I think the dock is a beautiful stand all by itself (and it serves a purpose.) A stand for the car, now that's a good idea, but a stand for your desk or dresser or in a little niche in you wall(?), now that's a little out there.

I decided to be different and got the PocketDock Line Out in place of a traditional dock so that I could use it in the car also. My plans were to get a stand to hold it upright while at home. Only problem was there was not a stand on the market with a dock hole big enough to accomodate the PocketDock. I contacted everyone. When I contacted thought out, they asked me the measurements and then decided to make a new iPed. How great is that? The iPed2 will be out soon and will support skins, cases, and yes, the PocketDock! It also matches the iPed and pivots. I highly recomend this stand to anyone with and iPod and a PocketDock!

... BRoge ... I have a pocketdock too. If only you could get a clear silicone skin which fitted the pocketdock comfortably too!

I have a clear silicone iSkin Evo2. The PocketDock would not fit through it, but with a little help from a pair of sissors, it fits perfectly now! Just cut the case without the iPod in it to perfectly fit the PocketDock. No problem at all.
