Great review! The iPod needs some good dock connecting FM transmitters, and soon. The battery drain is atrocious, plus it looks rediculus on the 5G's.

i say go with the iTrip, if you've got a nano wait for there iTrip for nano, if you own a iPod no matter what colour get the black doackable iTrip, it matches with all iPods, especially black

this is a very good product. i have the ipod nano and it is just great. i have had it for about a week and i see that once you find a good station the sound is just as good as any of the competors yet it is very small.

got this for my wife's 5g...may not look great, but it works great. plus it's the only fm trans that will accept an ipod car charger. we were looking for something that could be portable or used in the car -- this fit the bill and works well. i believe the quality is an improvement over the first airplay which i have for my 4g.

The review didn't seem to touch on two important points -- and I don't know if it's because it may be a problem with all similar products or simply poor craftmanship of the AirPlay2. First, the AirPlay2 does not stay conneected unless you hold it. Pick-up the iPod and it falls off. Second, proximity to the antenna is not the issue, you have to wave the iPod and AirPlay2 in the air (making sure you hold them connected as you wave). For me, either of these would rate the product a D-. Together, the product should get a Q (or Q2).

For what it is worth I got it at WalMart for 29$ which I thought was reasonable.
