While Bumperz get a pretty low rating, they're cheap and allow you to use the original lanyard, so I decided to give them a try. They only protect the sides of the Shuffle leaving the front and most of the back completely exposed. So what's to like about Bumperz? We've had an naked Shuffle for about a year and it lives mostly in pockets and backpacks. All of its nicks and dings are on the edges and none are on the flat surfaces. So if this Shuffle had worn a Bumperz it may still be pristine. Bumperz are ridiculusly easy to pull on and off and provide very minimal protection, so if you like using the lanyard and are careful with your little friend, Bumperz may be all you need to protect it's ding prone sides.
