I hope you guys will do a review for the Xtrememac Tango, the MicroBlast Speaker for iPod video that you guys showed before....

Maybe compare them with the JBL On Tour as well...

How do these companies justify $100 plus dollars for mediocre speakers? I own sub $50 boom boxes with superior speaker performance. I think they assume that ipod owners have money to burn.

If anyones knows, is there a part or a cord etc. that makes these iPod players so pricy? I can understand wanting to make a profit but make a billion dollarsa is crazy! (and thats just selling 6 players!

It might be that the proprietary docking connector raises the price a bit. It might also be that they want to appear higher-quality by setting a higher price point for the same portable-speaker technology that, if you don't mind just plugging them into the headphone jack, you can get for a much lower cost.

I think part of the price is also the design and the push for a product that will compliment the ipod's appearance, since the appearance is a big selling point for the ipod itself (along with, for me anyway, the wide variety of available accessories).
