I can't believe how the other guys have inflated the price on these. I jumped on $20.

I bought an HDMI cable for my PS3 at BB because the guy told me it was going to give me the best quality for watching Blu Ray movies. So when I ordered this XtremeMac one with my Apple TV I had to hook it up to the PS3 to see how poor the quality would be with a $20 cable.
Guess what?? The picture and sound are exactly the same.

Even this small premium in price is nothing more than a ripoff of the customer. If a digital cable is working, you get signal. No amount of added cost will make it work better. The low-end internet special $7 cables are tough and long-lasting, they just don't look as pretty.

Monoprice.com, my friends. Just picked up an HDMI switcher & 4 HDMI cables from them that combined cost less that what BB/Monster want for one of their cables. In addition to sub-$10 prices, you can get a variety of lengths to suit your particular situation. The cables are non-descript, but are very well-made and work fine.

While some people are more price sensitive than anything else when making a cable purchase, issues such as shielding, pin design, and aesthetics do play a role in other buyers' cable purchases. If you're using cables in certain environments - ones with interference, frequent disconnection/reconnection of cables, or special cosmetic needs - these other considerations may matter to you.
