Recently released outside the United States as a Philips and DLO combined offering, the SBA3000 Baton Portable Speaker ($50) is a pill-shaped two-driver audio system powered by four AA batteries -- not included -- and shielded for compatibility with iPhones, iPods, and iPads alike. Thirty hours of battery life are promised from the bassy 4-Watt speakers, which ship with a soft carrying bag and use a wrist strap-doubling 3.5mm audio cable to connect to devices.
