Launched via a Kickstarter campaign, Touchtype’s self-named iPad case ($49-$99) is now available — at least theoretically. The folio-style case is unique in that it’ll work with any full-sized iPad, and holds Apple’s Wireless Keyboard too.
A pocket under the rear panel holds the keyboard when not in use, in a way that’s meant to minimize thickness. The length of that typing accessory makes the case significantly taller than others though.
Rather than a standard restraint system, Touchtype has elastic bands to hold the corners of the iPad in place. Its lid is equipped with magnets to automatically lock and unlock the device, and can tuck into the back to serve as a stand.
