Submitted for your consideration, readers: should iLounge bother to cover products like this? Received today for review from a company called "Cashflow Information Technology," the Imaxpower Power Pack IMP500 ($110/$59) is sort of interesting in that it's a 5000mAh battery -- one of the highest-capacity and physically largest we've yet seen marketed towards iPhone and iPod owners. But it also has all the indicia of straight-off-the-boat-from-Dongguan, China crap, such as a package that touts the fact that it will "never explode" as a selling point, and an generic Dock Connector that amazingly won't physically connect to the fourth-generation iPod nano, even though it's depicted as compatible. Let us know in the iLounge Poll on the left side of the main page whether you think we should keep covering these types of items, or just ignore them.

Editors' Note: iLounge only reviews products in "final" form, but many companies now change their offerings - sometimes several times - after our reviews have been published. This iLounge article provides more information on this practice, known as revving.
