Review: Moshi iGlaze Remix for iPhone 5c
The latest CandyShell lookalike case is Moshi's iGlaze Remix for iPhone 5c ($30). Available in six different colors from the company's website, and additional 5c color-matched shades in AT&T stores, it combines rubber on the inside with glossy plastic on the outside. As expected, the rubber layer extends out to cover the Sleep/Wake and volume buttons, while there are three openings along the bottom edge for access to the headphone port and microphone, Lightning port, and speaker, respectively.
The overall level of protection iGlaze Remix offers is right where it should be a for a case of this style and price point, including a raised lip around the screen. None of the buttons are inhibited in any real way, and the port holes leave room for larger plugs, not just those with Apple’s narrow caps. There aren’t really any surprises; what you get is a good, sturdy case without any bells or whistles. That being said, it’s a solid option for the price, and worthy of a strong general recommendation.
