Apple HDMI to HDMI Cable (1.8 m)

After three years of letting XtremeMac and Belkin provide the "official" HDMI cables for the Apple TV, Apple has now released its own version -- the HDMI to HDMI Cable ($19), which was quietly teased in early Apple TV promotional images but not announced until Apple's Back to the Mac event in October. Billed as a 1.8-meter or 5.9-foot way to get high-definition digital video and multi-channel audio from the Apple TV to a connected television set or receiver, the cable has nothing fancy relative to same-priced Belkin options and less expensive third-party ones, using a device-matching black glossy plastic and matte rubber color scheme with plain connectors rather than the gold-plated ones some companies offer for the price. Apple's HDMI to HDMI Cable works with all HDMI devices, including recent HDMI-equipped Mac minis.
