Apple World Travel Adapter Kit

Seemingly refreshed just before the launch of iPhone 4, Apple's World Travel Adapter Kit ($39) is a bundle of a wall charger, USB cable, and six wall power blade sets designed to let iPhone and iPod users recharge their devices wherever they might be traveling internationally. Oddly, the wall charger is marked "iPod," even though it provides the full 1 Amp of power needed to quickly recharge iPhones, and has the same form factor as the recently released and more powerful iPad 10W USB Power Adapter. Apple's web site also bills the World Travel Adapter Kit as compatible with the iPad, even though it only supplies half the power needed for rapid recharging of the iPad's battery. The only semi-new part in the box is the USB cable, which has been updated on the USB plug end to match the most recent cables included with the iPad and iPhone 4.
