Known in the Apple world primarily for its sophisticated iPod car integration kits, Dension has developed a more affordable and yet still powerful solution for iPhone users: the Car Dock for iPhone (€80). Built with an integrated microphone, FM transmitter, aux-out port, and charging abilities, the Car Dock for iPhone also works with a free Dension app that is designed to make in-car calling, music access, and mapping easier. Rather than requiring potentially professional-grade wiring and installation, the Car Dock is a plastic iPhone cradle designed to mount on your dashboard or windshield using an included suction cup mount or adhesive pads, plus a folding, rotating plastic arm. A USB-based charging bulb and a separate audio cable are included, intended to be connected to the side of the Car Dock and then the vehicle's cigarette lighter power adapter and line-in port, respectively. Rubber pads are included to help safely hold the thinner iPhone 4. Case compatibility appears to be a limiting factor of this accessory.
