EK Ekcessories' iCat Reel It ($30) is an add-on for iPhones and iPods that, as the company takes every pain to make people aware, is for some reason licensed by Apple -- the only thing that could explain the crazy high price. There are no electronics here: iCat Reel It is simply a Dock Connector plug attached to a 24" retractable reel, which is then attached to a carabiner. The idea is that you'll hook iCat Reel It to your belt loop and not have to worry about the consequences if you drop it -- sort of like pinning mittens to a child's winter coat. The braided rope that connects the reel and carabiner is available in 20 colors.
