Redesigned for the third-generation buttonless iPod shuffle, H2O Audio's Interval Waterproof Headphone System ($100) is a watertight, submersible case that mounts behind your head on a pair of swim goggles -- not included -- enabling you to control volume and track play/pause/switching from its own buttons, while playing audio through permanently attached earphones. H2O includes rubber eartips of various sizes; you just pop the shuffle in when it's already turned on, seal the case, and use the buttons to control it. It's capable of being used at depths of up to 12 feet underwater.
