Similar to Griffin's earlier, not-so-hot EarJams, Hearing Components' new Comply Whoomp! Earbud Enhancers ($20) strap on to a pair of standard iPod Earphones, adding soft foam Comply tips to their ends. Two sets of tips are included in each package; you can choose to get one small, one large, or two small, or two large. As with EarJams, Hearing Components promises "significantly improved bass," and "superb ambient noise reduction," along with "premium comfort and a personalized fit." We'll have to see whether Whoomp! improves or just distorts the iPod Earphones' natural sound.
