Based on earlier versions of the same case for many of Apple's previous products including the original iPad, Incipio has rolled out Hive for iPad 2 ($40). Billed as a gaming case, it's a silicone playthrough style design with a honeycomb pattern on both the inside and outside. The hexagonal elevated edges provide some structure and shock resistance without adding much weight. On the backside are pronounced grips that make the case a bit more comfortable to hold. Both the volume rocker and Sleep/Wake Button are covered while there are there are holes for the ports, speakers, and microphone. A number of pack-ins sweeten the deal: a glossy screen protector film, an anti-glare one, a cleaning cloth, and an applicator card.
