We've stopped covering iPhone 4 and 4S cases for the most part, but LunaTik's Taktik ($100-$180) is so different from anything we've seen that it deserves some attention. Coming from a company mainly known for its iPod nano watch band kits, this one's based on the same concept: screw your iPhone inside a large frame and leave it there. The version of the hexagonal case we received has a hard plastic frame on the back with a rubber iPhone cradle. A plastic cover fitted with Gorilla Glass sits on top, and the layers are connected to one another via six screws and the included hex wrench. The headphone port is hidden under a flip-open metal cover while the side switch is controlled by a silver button that moves back and forth. We'll save our full review for the forthcoming iPhone 5 version of Taktik, but our initial impression of this version is "really big."
