Most notable about the Phiaton MS 400 Earphones ($250) is the claim that their earcups are made with "Carbon Fiber Enclosures" for high-quality audio; these big red and black earphones use relatively small, pivoting earcups with glossy-plastic covered material that may or may not be actual carbon fiber, plus bright red ear and head pads. They fold for easier carrying, include a zippered ballistic nylon carrying case, and a 1/8" headphone port adapter; low bass performance is their defining audio characteristic.
