Satechi's USB Surge Protector ($10) is designed for users who want to charge an iPhone or iPod without giving up an outlet. The adapter has both a 1A USB port and a standard three prong outlet on its face, allowing you to plug in your device and another accessory at the same time. Ideally, an accessory like this would offer 2.1A charging so that iPads can juice up at full speed, but it's hard not to like what's here for the price.
