Though Japanese brand Simplism has an even larger array of cases for the fifth-generation iPod nano, we're spotlighting a handful of the more interesting ones here. The Sport Armband for iPod nano ($25) includes a black armband and a silicone case in your choice of four different colors, each with a detachable Dock Connector cover, screen film, and cloth; the armband splits into two pieces to accommodate super-small arms and medium-sized ones. Simplism's Crystal Shell for iPod nano ($15) is only available in clear, a hard plastic shell with a frosted white Dock Connector protector and included Click Wheel film. Two different leather cases, the Leather Collection Carabiner Style ($20) and Leather Collection Simple Style ($20), both come in your choice of four colors and differ in other ways; the Carabiner version has full-face plastic protection and a light metal hook on the bottom, while the Simple version includes separate pieces of front-protective film and no hook. Both have metal rings in the back to expose the Apple logo, a touch we really don't like. Finally, the Starter Pack for iPod nano ($20) comes in nine different colors corresponding to the nano lineup, each with a silicone rubber case, lanyard, wall adapter, earbud covers, Dock Connector protector, film, and a cleaning cloth.
