Review: Skech Matrix for iPhone 6/6s and iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus
Skech's Matrix ($30) is a new case for iPhone 6/6s and iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus which checks a lot of the right boxes. A polycarbonate hard and soft shell are fused together for a secure, tight fit, similar to a Speck CandyShell case. Skech claims the material is resistant to yellowing. Proper button coverage is responsive for the volume controls and sleep/wake button, and many users will appreciate the port openings, which are slightly larger than those found on some competing cases. Matrix is a mostly clear case with an unobtrusive honeycomb pattern on the back, and it's slightly tinted to match any of the iPhone's four colors.
There’s not much reason to knock Skech’s Matrix. It’s an attractive, affordable case that offers sturdy protection and a solid fit. Our one caveat: the case is a bit slick, and may slip out of the hand easier than other cases. We know that’s important to some, so if you want a case with a bit more of a grippy texture, look elsewhere. Otherwise, Matrix is another fine case from Skech.
