This simple iPod car charger does one and only one thing: it charges your iPod while you're driving. Speck's major twists on the theme are two in number: MobileCharge looks nice and costs about twice as much as the typical simple charger. Its charging bulb is unusually long - a possible challenge depending on the location of your car's cigarette lighter/power port - but gives a little to the left and right once inserted. It's capped with black stitched leather and a chrome/blue light combo, which illuminates when plugged it. Not surprisingly, it properly charged our iPods, but also blocked their Dock Connector ports from being used for audio output - something most chargers don't do these days. Consider it if you're looking for something to match your car's interior, willing to spend extra cash for it, and are okay pulling audio from the iPod's headphone port only.
