It's the best case Sumajin has yet made for an Apple device: Ink ($35) combines a very smart rubber skin in your choice of seven colors with a clear screen protector and no other frills. The excitement is in Ink's aggregate level of protection, which includes flip-open Dock Connector and headphone port covers, a very unique set of redirected speaker holes to let iPad's audio come out in front of the device rather than underneath it, and full button coverage -- only the microphone and Screen Lock switch are left exposed. Ink's back is designed to be grippy, and succeeds, with a line-textured center and elevated grip ridges at the sides. Really impressive.
